The Thursday DOUBLES night is a Round Robin format event. Entries are taken until 6:30p.m latest every Thursday. Match slips are printed after all entries have been taken and games start 7:15pm sharp. Generally, there are four players assigned to each table and these players combined ratings are U-1500 . All skill levels are welcome. New players are assigned an estimated rating based on play with another player who has a current rating or on comments from the player about his/her ability. A brief warm-up of two minutes is permitted before each match begins.
Play continues until all matches have been played based on number of entered DOUBLES. A match consists of best out of three games to 11 points, with a change of server after every two points. Be sure to record your results on the match slip with a “W” for a win or an “L” for a loss in the row that contains your name and in the column with the number of the player you just played. Tables 1-5 will be assigned as tournament tables to have priority over practice or non-tournament play tables until all matches for that table have been completed. The tournament typically lasts until 9:15-9:30 p.m.
