Non-Sanctioned šŸ˜Š Fun tournament presented and run by North Shore Table Tennis Club and Society

NSTTC and SOCIETY is hosting a tournament for players of all abilities and/or disabilities of all ages and playing levels. Players with neurological conditions (Parkinsonā€™s, Alzheimer, Dementia, After stroke, ADHD, ADD ..) can register under TT4BrainHealth category. Depending on the number of registrants we will make appropriate groups. We welcome players with all mental and physical disabilities and If you know of someone who encounters financial difficulties to enter, please email our tournament manager at info@nsttc.ca . We are constantly trying to break barriers to participation in Table Tennis and welcome everyone to play in our club!!!!!

Registration ONLINE, by EMAIL or in the CLUB Deadline: 8pm Monday April 15, 2024 by 6pm (sharp)
Entry forms will not be processed unless accompanied by correct fees. Payments acceptable by cash, e-transfer to info@nsttc.ca , cheque, online invoice or dropped off at the NSTTC location
Fees $30-$40 per event, $20.00 for doubles per player

Events format best 2/3 or 3/5 in R/R to K/O Main and Consolation draws (certain events only TBA)

*PLAYERS can enter any number of events not combining the same times

** FAMFun Doubles (This is Fun Family doubles event ā€“ Family paired players, grandparent, parents or parent-kid, siblings, uncles-aunts, spouses or BF-GF etc..)

*** TT4BrainHealth+ Category (very beginners to early risers anyone with Neurodiverse conditions can join this category ā€“ players with Parkinsonā€™s, Dementia , Alzheimerā€™s, ADHD, ADD or other neurological conditions..

TROPHIES and $$$ prizes (OPEN Singles only) will be awarded for the first, second and third places

Cash prizes only for OPEN Singles 1st $300, 2nd 200, 3rd $100

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all players of all ages and playing levels and abilities and/or disabilities
The Tournament Committee may estimate the rating or level of any unrated player and request that player move from one event to another more appropriate event. Events that have insufficient entries might be combined
RULES
Current ITTF Laws and Regulations will be effect.
All rackets must be one side black and one side legal colors with ITTF approved coverings.
Tie-breaks in round-robins will be decided by score of matches, games, points, only of those players involved in the tie.

NS Open 2023 ā€“ FOR FIRST TIME EVER NSTTC and SOCIETY hosted a tournament for players with all abilities and disabilities of all ages and playing levels. Players with neurological conditions (Parkinsonā€™s, Alzheimer, Dementia, After stroke..) registered under PARKINSONā€™S+ category. The winner in Parkinsonā€™s event was Trent MacLean from Ping Pong for Good, LA based Ping Pong for Good is a movement utilizing this Sport to optimize brain and body health. Weā€™re on a mission together to improve the quality of life for those living with neurological conditions and to promote healthy aging.

WARM UP SPECIAL at 2023 NS Open as last year we hosted first ever PARKINSONā€™s event.
As the song suggest ā€œWhat they want, We got it. What they need, do you know we got itā€¦ā€ Respect for PWP signing up and showing up to participate in their first ever competition in Table Tennis. We have been working together and improving skills, improving their lives and slowing down the symptoms of PD with this Sport šŸ“It was huge success and keep on thriving šŸ™‚
